Can someone explain to me why the NAV icon is gray in the autopilot roll menu of a skyview D1000? When I installed it everything was working fine but I haven't had this feature for some time. Is the way of programming it that is the problem? I choose a destination, then I press the d for Direct. That's all, but I can't select navigation with the autopilot. Thank you for helping me. Sorry for my english.

Try making sure your Map Source, Flight Plan Source and HSI Source are all set to the same navigation source you would like to use.

I looked in the different menus but I can't find what you told me. Can you tell me exactly which menu I should look at? Thank you

There is a small semi clear rectangular box at the bottom right of the PFD screen. It will show the HSI source at the top. Below that will be the source for Bearing 1 and Bearing 2 if you enabled those. The autopilot follows whatever the HSI source shows in this box. There is a similar box on the left side of the MAP labeled Map Source. These should match. I can post a photo if this does not help.

Sorry I could not add this text to the original post with the picture but it is just above. Look on the left edge of the Map to see the Flight Plan Source box which says Skyview. On the PFD note the two boxes to the right of the HSI. The larger one is labeled Skyview which is the HSI source. The 27.9 NM is distance to active waypoint on the flight plan. SW05 is the active waypoint (a User waypoint I created to navigate under the Class B airspace). The little box below that are for Bearing 1 and 2. Look at button 6 which is labeled HSI SOURCE. Tapping this allows you to select what drives the HSI. The source that drives the HSI is what the Skyview flight director and autopilot follow. This HSI SOURCE button will toggle between any navigation source you have set up in Skyview. The bearing points are for information only. The autopilot will not follow them.
