Need a little Help on Startup

I went to put V12.0 on my skyview, installed but not yet flying, and it has gone crazy.  It always acted perfectly prior, and I have not made any KNOWN changes to it or its boxes.  When I turn the skyview on, the airplane icon on the geographical map just spins in clockwise direction - on and on!  The round compass circle spins counterclockwise - forever and ever!
I am baffled, it will not settle down and let my install V12.0 either, because of this spinning I guess.  What am I doing wrong?

Open your hangar door. It sounds like you are not receiving a stable GPS solution.

Unfortunately, that sounds like an AHRS that has failed. I don't know why this would cause you to not be able to install 12.0 though, so maybe I'm wrong. You should probably give us a call tomorrow.

I initially dismissed that, since I have been using it with the garage door closed for many months. Your comment however made me realize that my son is visiting, so I moved the Mercedes up almost against the garage door, and his truck is parked behind. Lots of iron for a compass to look thru, I will try changing all that.

There's really no way for non-moving iron to cause your compass to spin. It will just be statically off.

Failure to load V12.0 was simply an operator error. It had been too long since I had last done it (V10.0). Got that all taken care of now.
