I am in finalizing my SKYVIEW installation and wonder if I can connect the displays to the network hub as in this image and not to each other as shown in the installation guide.

Do not forget to connect the GPS puck to both D700 displays. This note is shown in the installation manual.

All your serial devices will need to be connected to all screens. So, Transponder, GPS, and ADSB will need serial connection to all screens.

My drawing doesn't show it but that is the way I have it. I guess I should update my drawing to reflect this.

If you are connecting to the network hub, the screens will be connected together.

THANKS! I thought so but wasn't quite sure.

I suggest the following changes:
* Run a "Dynon Net" cable between the two displays.
* Remove one of the "Dynon Net" cables between one of the displays and the hub.
* Use a SV-NET-SPL to connect the SV-ADAHRS-200 and -201 to a single "Dynon Net" cable, which goes to the hub.
* Connect the SV-EMS-220 to the hub with a "Dynon Net" cable.
* Connect the SV-ARINC-429 to to the hub with a "Dynon Net" cable.

There's no electrical / failover advantage in connecting the SV-ADAHRS-200 to one display and the SV-ADAHRS-201 to the other display. Inside the display, the two SkyView Network connectors are electrically bridged - if the display has a problem, loses power, or is manually powered off, there's no interruption in the SkyView network data flowing through that display.

As dabear points out, all serial devices must be connected to each of the displays in parallel. The displays have special electronics that "sort out" the usual problems with connecting serial devices in parallel.
