I would like to see a small radial bow on the map display which shows the approximate distance or position where I reach the altitude selected in the altitude preselection window in a descent or climb.
This bow position could be dampened somehow so it averages the climb or descent rate and so would not be too sensitive. Also I suggest a minimum rate of climb/descent for showing it at all. I think the inputs für it should be ground speed and rate of descent/climb. As the ground speed can be variable the position of the bow is approximate, but it would be a nice feature especially for crosschecking our descent planning. How about making it selectable like the Flight Path Marker?
I saw this on Transport Airplanes and sure like it.
