no hi res terrain

Hi I am in Australia and I get a no high res terrain warning all the time
can I disable it
also why does the glide ring show about a 5 mile radius when on the ground

Did you load the hi res terrain data ? it's about a 1.8 GB file.

To be clear, load a High Resolution terrain database that includes Australia? SkyView displays as shipped (with some exceptions) have the North America High Resolution terrain database loaded.

Dynon Support - I just updated to 14.1.1 and I am now getting a warning message of "no hi res terrain".  Downloaded the latest version of the hi res file for North America off of the web and uploaded it to Skyview.  No joy.  Suggestions?

What version were you on before, what area of the world are you in, and do you have a GPS lock?

Dynon, thank you for the prompt response.  Wow, that was fast.   

I updated from version 13.  I live in Las Vegas, NV. Regarding the GPS lock, I will need to confirm, as the plane was in the hangar.
