Hello Dynon,
Yesterday was big day for me as I fired up my avionics for the 1st time.
Full Dynon panel: 1 D-1000-T (second will be purchased soon), SV-COM-X83 + SV-COM-T8, SV-Intercom-2S, SV-AP-Panel and SV-Knob-Panel.
Everything is fine except for the VHF: My SV-COM-W83 module starts fine but it says "NO XCVR MODULE" on the LCD screen, and there is some kind of progress bar continuously going as if the X83 was searching for something (possibly the T8 module?).
I have double and triple checked all my connections to/from the COM-T8 and X83 and I can't find anything wrong.
Is there any way to test the COM-T8 module independantly? I can't even see if it powers up...
Thank you for your help.

Alain:

All we can tell you from this message is that the panel unit cannot communicate with the SV-COM-T8. There is no additional troubleshooting that can be done. In our experience, this issue is usually a wiring mistake.

If you've verified EVERY wire, every connection, every pin, then please contact Dynon Avionics Technical Support - 425-402-0433 or email support AT dynonavionics DOT com to arrange for the SV-COM-PANEL and the SV-COM-T8 to be returned to Dynon Avionics for evaluation.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes I have checked the harness pin by pin for continuity, connection and to verify that I didn't put any pin in the wrong position. I couldn't find anything wrong.
Before contacting tech support Will try to send the T8 to a friend with s similar panel and he will check my T8 in his airplane.
I'll keep you updated.
Alain.
