I have not deselected any states. Tried deleteing all and redownloading---still no luck. Tried a friends memory stick in my plane and all is well. My memory stick doesn't work in either plane.

I see the same thing in this file. It shows none of the states selected. I have another thought though. How big is your memory stick, and do you know how much free space it has after the download? I am curious if those who are having problems have full memory sticks.

We describe this in our SkyView Pilot's User Guide, but it's sometimes overlooked.

For any "media" (SD card, USB flash drive) that you're planning to use with Seattle Avionics US charts for SkyView, you must create an EMPTY folder at the root of the drive, called
SkyViewUS.

Unless that folder is present, the SA Data Manager will ignore the drive when it's plugged in.

Well, just for good measure I completely reformatted the card and told DataManager to do a download/copy.

No joy! Still can't see Sectionals or Enroutes

I guess tonight I can try blowing away the DataManager and reinstalling and start from scratch. Otherwise I'm out of ideas.

Okay, although i deleted and re-downloaded from the stick, the data manager stores everything local. So tonight i deleted the datamanager, and found all the darn temporary files and deleted them (typical sloppy windows code, leaves crap all over).

After reinstalling i think im really starting from scratch. i selected all the states first thing and started a download. I'll go out to the hangar and try it tomorrow.

Dynon, thanks for the help.

I have a 32gb stick--- no way it should be close to full.  The datamanager says 6 states selected.  All of the colored indicator balls are green.  What else can I try??

note: I have 24gb free space on my memory stick

Success!

Ok. After starting completely from scratch with a freshly formatted card (with the SkyViewUS folder), and a fresh install of datamanager I'm up and running.

After completely removing the datamanager code and ALL of its data (you have to search for it, the uninstall process doesn't remove it), I reinstalled it.

I then selected all the states and did a download. NOTE: I did NOT have a usb stick in the computer yet.

After the download completed I inserted the stick and let the datamanager ask me to copy the data. Select yes and wait.

this worked. I'm betting the *.sqlite file is being mismanaged or the state corrupted once you start interacting/changing selections in the datamanager. Hopefully its a simple fix.

If you guys can convince SeattleAvionic to upgrade their software to something more modern (and hopefully that would run on Mac also) that would be great! :)

Good Luck.

I am now having trouble after changing the selected states. I'm getting "On Computer: Yellow Ball N/A" for both Flight Guide Airport Diagrams and Approach Plates and Airport Diagrams for my Dynon Skyview Downloads.

When the 2 yellow files above download, they both stop exactly 1 file short of the total and try again in an endless do-loop until I cancel the download.

The odd thing is, I have the program loaded at work (don't tell the boss) and everything is green. I didn't change any state settings.

I looked for every file I could find to delete AFTER Windows uninstall including a large data folder and several sqlite files I found in a Windows subfolder before reinstalling the program.

Any suggestions on how to find all the files to delete to get a clean re-install?

Do a Windows search on the entire disk for Seattle.
It'll find the files in a set of internet download temporary directories.

Just delete the temp directories. There will be one for each file type (Sec, Lo, Hi, FG, etc...)

That seemed to be good enough.

If you are looking for the place the Data Manager stores files, on a Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 machine, it is here:

%appdata%\Seattle Avionics\DataManager

Just paste that into an explorer window or the run box. The files shouldn't be in temp directories. If people really are finding them somewhere else, please let us know as that could be a clue.

We're all just getting back from SnF and are going to be working with Seattle Avionics ASAP to see what we can do to get these issues resolved.
