Hello,

I have an OAT connected to the remote compas via the DB9 connector (according the OAT installation guide). The remote compas works fine with the EFIS-D100 but it reports "OAT not found". (The efis is configured as supporting OAT type 2).

Here is the configuration:

EFIS-D100: firmware V1.02.00
EDC: firmware V1.04.00.
OAT: type 2 (black ring)

I have measured the resistance between the OAT wires:
blue - yellow : no connection
blue - red : no connection
red - yellow : +- 10k

I have checked to soldering, all looks ok (good connection and no short circuit detected)
Any idee about the failing device?

Hi Phil,

Exactly the right tests and information, though unfortunately it looks like the OAT is bad. Give me a call at 425-402-0553 and I can set up an RMA to swap you for a new one.

Wrong OAT Sensor ?

Hello, I'm using a D100 and I just received my "missing" OAT sensor from the aircraft producer. The code is: 100433-000 [EMS-D10 OAT - 2 wire sensor]. I was wondering if this unit is compatibile with the 100433-001 (desribed in the installation manual).

Thank U in advance.

You can use the 3 wire OAT on an EMS, but not the two wire on the EFIS. The 100433-000 won't work with an EFIS.

If you have an EMS, you can hook that OAT to the EMS and it will share the OAT with the EFIS.

100433-001

...one more question: is it means that the new OAT sensor they going to send me (100433-001) will work with my D100 ? ==> I have no EMS installed...
