Should work fine - I momentarily used a lighter to test my OAT probe, and it registered up to about 300 degrees or more after a momentary application of flame.

FYI - the calibration for that sensor runs through 150F. Beyond that, the readings will be less accurate.

Good to know. Even so, it might give you a reference to what is "normal" so as to help you understand when it "exceeds normal."

Remember, you can use one of the GP circuits and a Chromel/Alumel thermocouple wire twisted together and get the same thing.

Only the single GP thermocouple input works this way. It can take a type J or K thermocouple though.
