Obscure error in the datastream

Hi all

I've come across an error that occurred when using the older firmware, and I would just like to find out if it's a known bug before I go flying again...

When turning left (i.e.e heading decreasing), as I cross 000, the heading increases, then jumps to the 350's... It's as if the readings from the compass are being interpolated by the turn-rate gyro, and going negative, but because the datastream cannot display a negative heading, it only shows the magnitude, then when the next reading from the compass module is received, the heading is fixed. Is this correct?

Here is a text dump, showing the time frame and what's actually happening...

Nope - it looks like you've found a bug that will be fixed in the future. Thanks!

We've updated the firmware announcement page to give our expected time frame of a June release for the firmware:

Apologies for dragging this up again, but I'm still a bit confused by the last reply... Assuming the shiny new firmware gets it's bug discovered on the weekend sorted out, does this mean that the problem posted here originally will also be fixed? I'm really hoping I won't need to wait another whole dev cycle...

Maybe one of the beta testers could post some output from the datastream of the aircraft turning left through north (i.e. the heading decreasing through 000)?

Thankyou!!
Etienne
