I am running 14.2.1 on my RV-12 SV. The oil temp bar graph has a gap in the lower mid 1/4 yellow and is black. After warm up and a few minutes of flight, the bar fills in green as normal. Not a critical-to-flight matter, but obviously a bug somewhere. I can send a picture if it will help.

Not a bug, and in fact is one of the most unique features of the EMS. It's covered on page 5-3 of the User Guide.

The Rotax 912 operator manual requires that you get oil temp above 190F once each flight in order to get the water out of the oil. When the bar is black, this means you have not yet hit 190F on that flight. If it's green, you have hit 190F and have satisfied the Rotax operation requirement.

From the manual:

Oil Temperature Gauge for Rotax 912:

When OIL TEMP < 190ºF, the OIL TEMP gauge displays these ranges:
[ch61623] 100-120 and 230-266ºF in YELLOW
[ch61623] 120-190ºF in GREEN if OIL TEMP has been above 190ºF “more recently” than OIL TEMP was below 120ºF; otherwise 120-190ºF is displayed in BLACK OUTLINED IN WHITE
[ch61623] 190-230ºF in GREEN
[ch61623] 266-280ºF in RED.

When OIL TEMP is > 190ºF, the OIL TEMP gauge will display different ranges:
[ch61623] 100-120 and 230-266ºF in YELLOW
[ch61623] 120-230ºF in GREEN
[ch61623] 266-280ºF in RED
