Hi, would it be possible to have an alternative to jeppson for mapping databases very expensive and maps are not the easiest to read!!
How about teaming up with skydemon who are taking europe by storm ( also have US databases now) with their nav software and maps which can be downloaded to any win ce device. Skyview would only need the maps to go with their own nav software. Skydemon plans are already compatible!!!
They can export routes that can be imported into skyview.

We're working on alternative data support right now. We'll have more to announce soon!

So I should have been more clear. When I say alternative data, I'm really talking about aviation data: airports, airspace, navaids primarily. I'm not talking about the basemap or cultural data, which would include other map features like roads, waterways, cities, parks, etc. We're working on that too, but alternative aviation data is first up, and that's much sooner. We don't have dates yet for either of the above. Thanks for your patience as we work through all of this. The world's a bit place, and unfortunately the data story is pretty fragmented.

And just a reminder in case you were wondering about aviation data and not the basemap information - we do have Australian aviation data available today from Jepp.
