Overvoltage protection

We're hooking up a B&C SF401 SilverFlite internally regulated alternator to an ACM. The alternator has "dynamic over-voltage protection" and the ACM has over-voltage protection. I'm trying to understand how these will interact with each other.

Assuming there is no over-voltage, there will be no interaction. Whichever has the lower over-voltage threshold, that one will activate first.
