Pitch on EDC-10A

How important is the pitch of the EDC to match the EFIS-D10A pitch?

I had the first version of the EDC, which was installed flat. But the new EDC
says to match the pitch within .1deg Is this required?

Just fine tuning the system.

It's always been required that the EDC match the pitch of the EFIS. This is very important if you want the heading to be accurate in anything but straight and level flight.
