I will be installing a heated pitot in my 6A but the wings have been compleated and I can't install it like the instruction say.My question is would it be OK to install it in the wing tip?

That's a better question for the airframe designer. Most places where pitot works really will be OK for the AOA/pitot. But, wingtips typically aren't used for pitot tubes in general: there's wingtip vortices and other effects that cause the airflow to be turbulent there.

I am retrofitting a Dynon pitot probe into an RV4. As you know, the wings are very similar. My plan is to mount it to the inspection plate used to inspect the aileron bellcrank. I think you will be able to do the same thing. With flexible lines you will not have to open the pitot/ AOA fittings during your condition inspection. This will put the pitot probe approximately where the original was and well within Dynon specs. I do not think you will get accurate indications at the tip.

Also the wing tip is a bad location as people nationally walking along the leading edge will be bumping into it or kids doing damage to their heads, they never look where their going.
