Pitot-static hookup on D180/D100 install

I'm in the process of hooking up the pitot and static lines to the D180. I assume that the D100 will get the pitot-static info via the DSAB from the D180.
Would be any advantage redundancy-wise (should the D180 fail) to also run the pitot-static lines to the D100?

Thanks,
Les

It might convey that information, but I would hook up the pitot-static lines to the 100 anyway. If nothing else, you can compare the calibration between them.

If you don't hook up the pitot and static to the D100 you lose the redundancy of having the second EFIS. The D100 needs the pitot and static as part of the attitude system and without it the unit does not respond as quickly or as accurately. While it is true that with both the D100 and D180 functioning correctly, the D180t you have set as the DSAB master will share info with the D100, but if the D180 master unit fails, the D100 will need it's own pitot and static to function independently.

It will not share the data over DSAB. You must hook the lines to both units.

Thanks guys for the quick response. I'll hook them both up to the pitot & static lines.
