I am running the full Dynon suite. On the comm radio in duel recieve .,mode the standby frequency reception is bad. It sounds like there high frequency of missing audio. You can still make out what is being received. I estimate every 10 ms there is a piece of audio missing.

On a side note, on a radio test the other day, the tower said they could hear me but the audio was a little broken.
I think they were describing what I hear on my standby frequency in duel mode. Tried changing mike gain and turned off both SV displays to see if that would help while talking to them but no change w mike gain or shutting off displays.

I tried adjusting squelch both directions and other frequencies. I get broken audio on all standby frequencies in duel mode.

My transponder , engine monitor and com modules are all bundled together behind the panel. Could this be an issue?
Thx!

Randy,
In dual watch mode, the system needs to hop between the two frequencies to see if anyone is transmitting on the primary frequency. It does this every 200mS (5 times a second) not at 10mS (100 times a second), but it does cause a small audible "blip". This is pretty common to all the radios that do dual watch.

There is no relation to what you are hearing in that mode and what you transmit, as the transmit is continuous no matter what mode you are in.

You've got some other questions about the radio and intercom that I will get to in those threads.

Its basically the same way the Garmin SL30 works. You know you are hearing the 2nd channel because of the clips as it listens back on the main channel.
