PROP RESTRICTED RANGE WARNING

Many engine/propeller combinations have operating restrictions. (e.g. Greater than 20" Manifold Pressure with RPM between 1950-2200 ).


It would be nice if the EMS could warn the pilot when continuously operating within a restricted range.

The EMS doesn't create an audible warning for this, but you can create a yellow band for your restricted RPM range, and it will highlight the RPM number in yellow if you are in that band. It's pretty hard to glance at the screen and not notice the yellow box the RPM number is in.

Yes, but will this RPM range be yellow all the time, or only at certain manifold pressures?

It's on all the time, not tied to MAP.
