When I PTT either Dynon radio, my four EGT values increase slightly. Any idea why? I've not noticed any other gauges to be affected.

Mine have done this for a long time. probable a grounding interference issue I suspect. Although, I have not chased it down.

OK, I'm open to some education. Why does the EMF/RMI affect only the EGT and none of the other sensors?
It doesn't affect the sensors. It affects the EMS module which causes the system to display a false EGT value. The actual sensors and EGT values are fine.

You can send the EMS module back to Dynon and they can fix the problem.

Early EMS modules were susceptible to interference of this sort on EGT/CHTs. If you get in touch with our support team (contact info in sig), we can have it back for repair. Or filters as described above will work too.

Dynon does the same apply to ADAHRS? My vertical speed jumps when the mike is used. Engine instruments are stable.

All wires can be an ‘antenna’ in this situation, especially those that are not used & also not removed from the EMS connector- a lot of people have left them in a coil instead of removing them.
Skysailor- In the dozens of installations I’ve done I’ve never seen that happen however if you have a composite airframe &/or the transmitting antenna is close to the ADAHRS you could see the spikes that you experience. I know of a similar situation with a pitch servo which was 6” away from the Com antenna, keying the mic tripped out the autopilot. It’s those electron critters again 😉

Ours did this (RV9A tin can though)

Posted here, got the same advice regarding sending the EMS to Dynon, followed it, EMS swapped, spikes are gone, back to flying.

Now to get rid of those pesky Geiger Counter clicks the Skyview audio is sending through the intercom. (Thanks Dynon but those nifty looking harness plug filters didn't fix it. Per your service letter our screen is seemingly cactus)

I tried the in-line harness filter as well but it did not solve my EGT, CHT spikes that occur while transmitting on the Dynon Com. They wouldn’t bother me if it weren’t for the fact that every time I key the mic, I lose my lean find setting’s. I have a GNS-530 in there as well that will actually trigger multiple voice alerts when I key the mic. Dynon, does this sound like something that can be fixed with the EMS filtering mod discussed above?
