I get radio interference when skyview switched on. I need to squelch max to get rid of the interference.

It is only when I connect DB9 connector on SV-EMS-220 that creates problems.
If I disconnect DB9 connector on SV-EMS-220 the interference stop.

So therfor I know the problems is coming from SV-EMS-220.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I google up something about filters or kit of D-sub dongles from Dynon. Does anybody have some information about this?

Contact DS direct - there was an issue with some earlier EMS modules & it will need to be returned to factory, or you may try using these http://www.l-com.com/d-sub-capacitive-filter-emc-adapter-db9-male-female (25 pin as well) filtered Dsub connectors however IMO it's better to have Dynon fix the issue.

The issue with EMS modules was that they were sensitive to RF transmissions, not that they created RF. These have a hardware fix that was implemented about 3 years ago.

The AHRS is sensitive to RF transmission in some installs as well. This is where we recommended the L-COM filters.

RF noise when you plug in the EMS is a new one, but I imagine that what is happening is one of the wires to the EMS is acting as a big antenna.

First, I'd unplug the D25 and D27 connectors and make sure it's still there with those unplugged. If it is, then I'd plug the EMS in using the test cable that comes with the screens and see if the noise goes away. If it does, it's probably cable routing. You also need to make sure your COM radio RF cable is working well. A broken cable will let all kinds of noise in.

Finally, if this is happening in a metal hangar, you always have to be careful because there is a lot more noise in there than when you are flying.

Hi

When I disconnect the Return Flow Controller the interference disappear.

Anyone use this RFC?

Maybe pulses/gallon in skyview create interference
