Flying along in my non-Dynon equipped Gyro the other day with the sun streaming over my shoulder onto the panel, I had difficulty reading and tuning my 57mm sized radio.

I had a thought !! ............with all the technology crammed into these radios, including voice activated intercom....why not have a voice activated tuning ability. Something like....

"RETUNE

One one nine decimal one .....GO "

the radio tunes to the commanded frequency and puts it in the standby position ready to by transferred to the active frequency...

Just a thought....

In my Fully Dynon equipped fixed wing aircraft it would still be nice to use voice commands to re-tune.......If Google, Samsung and Apple can do it....?? ;)

The 'G' company GPSs automatically pushes the frequencies of the nearest (or flight planned) airport into the standby cache of a compatible radio. No voice command required, just push a button or rotate a knob to select from the cache then push a button.

When wired into the SV, the SV will forward these frquencies to the radio as well, plus you can manually select from the SV.
