Hello forum,
I am in the throes of installing my HDX system in my flying RV-10. My 10 has the Ray Allen T3-12A Elevator Trim actuator.
My question here is, do I need the Dynon Trim amp to run the elevator trim or can I forego that in this particular application?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

SV can use up to 2A servos without the trim amp.

The RAC servos lists 800mA at full-stall. So you should not need it.

The trimamp does give runaway trim sensing and some other fault sensing.

You should still have full auto-trim without it per the SV manual (assuming you have the trim connected to a SV-AP-PANEL).

See page 2-7 of the SV pilot’s guide.

Thank you for the quick reply. Since I have the trim amp, I may go ahead and install it since I have everything opened up (sigh).
Especially since I would have runaway trim indication.

If you already have it, you may as well install it. No sense keeping it as a shelf protector.

Looks like a pretty easy install.
