Hi, I had to send my new 10 inch D1000 back for a RMA and now it will not let me load my updated jepperson map for South Pacific ,it says I do not have a DB license .
Any ideas please.

As always, it's more efficient to troubleshoot issues like this if we can see what you're seeing. With SkyView, it's easy... trivial... to record a screenshot. Just put a USB flash drive - ANY USB flash drive, into SkyView then push buttons 2+7 to save a screenshot. Then post the screenshot with your question.

Was your SV-D1000 replaced with a different S/N? If so, you'll have to get back in touch with Jeppesen, tell them the new S/N for their system, and then do another download of your Jeppesen databases. Jeppesen formats their databases only to work with a particular SkyView display S/N.

Another issue might be that you downloaded your Jeppesen databases to your computer's hard disk, and then copied the databases to the USB flash drive. That's not the correct procedure - the download process puts a "marker" onto the disk that you downloaded to, which doesn't get copied over with the Jeppesen databases - only as part of the download. Thus, you should download the Jeppesen databases directly onto the USB flash drive.

Actually, thinking about this more, if your SkyView serial number is the same, this may just come down to the way the Jeppesen data works. Once it is loaded from the stick, SkyView knows it's already been loaded and won't load it again. So you can either call Jeppesen and ask them for an additional download for that cycle. Or, if you get in touch with our technical support staff at support at dynonavionics dot com and we can help you get a replacement copy.

It was already on my SkyView when it went back for the repair but when it came back to me it had the out dated version So I will contact Jeppesen here and see if we can sort it out.

Have been in touch with Jeppesen and they sorted the problem out .
You have to download the data to your computer and then programme it onto your usb stick then it will load onto SkyView
All is working fine now .
