Real time "Go To"?

Is there a way to have SkyView follow the plane and destination in real time? Example: I am being vectored around greater Seattle anticipating clearence to the Paine VOR. I would like the route being depicted on the moving map to dynamically follow - so when I am "cleared to the VOR" I don't have to manually enter the VOR as a "new" destination.
I hope I stated my question in an understandable way...

no because that's extremely dangerous, imagine that route involved terrain after you descended and then you blindly let the AP navigate on NAV mode, etc

it will always (in any airplane) require you to knowingly say "DIRECT TO (from here, current position" versus constantly rubber banding to your next waypoint as you overshoot it for whatever reason

I disagree - I don't see how the route from "direct to" vs. a "rubber band" would be any different. Whether I fly over a mountain from Point "X" from a "Go To" command or from the "rubber band" it is still a mountain. As pilot in command, it is still my responsibility to not fly into that mountain.

chose NRST from Map. it will bring up Airport, Navs, etc, than do a D-> to the one you need and once back on course- chose to resume by activating that leg.
There is synthetic vision so terrain would need to be avoided via yellow (hopefully no red) along the MAP route.
Is that what you are looking for?

If you already have the position you want in your direct to, just press D-> twice, and it will re-initialize from your current position.

You could also put your VOR waypoint up as a bearing (PFD, BRG 1 or 2) (See Chapt 3) using GPS 0 which I assume is your sv250. The pointer then gives you constant magnetic bearing to the waypoint -- regardless of where you have the Direct set -- so that you can turn thereto any time you want, and keep track of where you are by bearing on the HSI and distance on the numbers. this is how i was trained when doing instrument, always stay centered on two forms of navigation- situational awareness is key
