I just received my Skyview package from Van's for a RV-12. In the RV-12 the fuel pump is always on. I added a single pole ON-ON switch so I can switch it off on the ground (noise/press test).
I want to add a button on the EMS screen that when the pump is off I get a red button.
One ON side of the switch feeds the pump, the other ON will go the an EMS pin.
I just want to confirm that I can feed the 12V line to a pin of the D37 of the EMS to do this and that I have to sign the pin as a contact.
Or is there an other/better way to accomplish this?

Regards, Joeri.

What you really want to do is to just hook the EMS wire to the fuel pump wire. You'll get a 5V reading as far as SV can see when the pump is on, and 0V when it's off, and so you can us the normal 0-2.5V and 2.5-5V ranges for your EMS "button" widget colors.
