When using two d1000 screens and two ADHARS how should the pitot static system be configured.
Option 1, separate pitot tube and seperate static ports for each
Option 2, dual pitot tubes share static between ADHARS units
Option 3 shair both pitot and static between ADHARS units

I have the same setup.  I share static and Dynon heated pitot with the two ADAHRS with tees.  I also share the static and have a second  bent tube pitot going just to my backup D6.  I was amazed to find the Skyviews and D6 airspeeds to be within a knot or two of each other.

For VFR it probably don't matter how it's plumbed. IFR redundancy probably needs separate pitot and static sources. A blocked shared pitot or static will take both ADAHRS out. In the case of bob m, a blocked static will take all of his instruments out.

Actually, a blocked static will not take out both the Skyviews and the D6. I have a static port switch on my panel to open up the static to the cockpit if it becomes blocked. With a blocked static, the ADAHRS reverts to GPS ground speed automatically.
The panel switch looks like a typical toggle, but is connected to the static line and opens it when the switch is thrown. Got it from Steinair.

Blocked static ports are EXTREMELY rare. The chances of copping a bug up your pitot is far more likely….and also very rare. I have had it happen. The GPS assist worked. But it was not a "crash worthy defect".

Most RV's and glass airs etc run two flush mounted ports, they MUST be connected together and shared. The pitot the same unless you want two probes.

Option 3 is the correct choice. Unles you are building a Boeing airliner, in which case three of each ;)

Tim,

Technically all three of your options would work, although 1) and 3) might be more logical compared to 2).
