I want to install the remote compass unit in the tail of my BD-4, but the battery is back there. How far away from the battery do I need to be?

We'd reccomend at least 18" from the battery, preferably 24".

Thank you, 24" should be no problem!
I'd also like to add that you need to keep the EDC clear of the battery cable as well, because the current in the cable will cause problems. Imagine how I know this :
Hopefully, you're talking about putting the EDC 24" behind the battery, so the main cable won't have to pass by the EDC on the way to the front of the plane.
