Resistive fuel quantity

I am probably over thinking this but for the fuel quantity (or the A inputs in general) are they sourcing, or are the inputs only measuring the voltage applied to the pin?

The inputs are sourcing current for the sensor. Without this, a resistive sensor always reads 0V.

The type C inputs can have the current source turned off so they just read voltage.
