Roll sensitivity vs gain

I have been following the 'Roll Axis-TRK and Turns Procedure' to tune but confused by relationship between Roll Sensitivity and Roll Gain.

When experiencing overshoot, flowchart says to increase sensitivity in steps until maxed out and then increase roll gain. Question: When I increase roll gain, do I leave sensitivity at max 24 or do I reset?

My understanding is that you would leave sensitivity maxed out unless the increase in gain causes it to be too sensitive.

This link to another thread should help explain the difference.

Steve,
You don't reset the sensitivity when moving to roll gain. However, if you're up at 24 in roll gain, you may have missed a detail in the flow. Up sensitivity until the overshoot stops getting better, then work on roll gain. For instance if you can't detect a reduction in overshoot when going from 18 to 20, leave it at 18 and try roll gain.

This isn't to say that 24 isn't correct, as some planes do need this, just something to be aware of as you tune it.

Thanks Ray.

Just for the record, don't know if you noticed, but I was a contributor on the very post.
Maybe I should have paid more attention to what I wrote, eh? :-[
