So my "slow boot" seems to have gone away, and I suspect it was due to the backup battery perhaps not being fully charged, but in any case...knock on wood...it's gone for now (and wasn't a serious issue anyway, as long the system actually *did* boot).
But...another transient, perhaps...yesterday, after starting up, I got a "Roll Error" for the a/p servo(s). I was in the runup area, checked very quickly on the setup menu and the system saw and was communicating with both servos. I didn't reboot as I didn't intend to use it on the short flight home, and it wasn't engaged, so no safety issue. Back at the hangar, after shutdown, I restarted the SV and voila! no error.
Did this a couple of times...everything was fine. Any explanations? It's not an intermittent connection, as they're rock-solid from the SV all the way to the servos.
Any ideas what could cause such a transient (and stable...it didn't go away the entire flight) fault?
TIA!
Steve
