Roll trim (RAC) servo - NaN values

I'm wiring up my stick grip and the bazillion wires to/from the trim buttons, PTT, etc. I've got the roll trim servo operating in both directions just fine, and I've got the position signal routed to P23 on the EMS-220, w/ +5V and GND as required. In one direction, it's sending values (apparently), based on the debug screen, but in the other, it (and just about everything else) jumps to "NaN". If I try to calibrate it, it shows 0 for one direction at the extreme position, NaN in the other, and then when I use it and go in the NaN-direction, ALL of my EMS sensors get red-Xs over them.

What's going on? Can anyone help here?

Thanks much...

You'll get that if you short out the 5V line to ground. I'm guessing you're doing that. Look through your wiring. The three wires going to the EMS should have no connection to the two wires that actually move the servo. You might get this if you crossed two of the wires as well.

That seems to have been the problem...it was buried somewhere down in some splices to extend the (too short) wires from the servo to reach to a CPC, and we never did find exactly where the short was, but redoing the splices and testing seems to have fixed it.

Thanks for the quick assist!
