I had a magneto failure last week.
I downloaded the log files to see if there were any warnings of impending doom.
Comparing RPM L and RPM R, which are connected to the Left and Right magneto's P-leads, I expected to see the two RPM values differ after the failure.
Instead, I found that every entry in the log files since the dawn of time shows identical values for RPM L and RPM R.
Even during magneto checks, when either of the magneto P-leads are grounded, both values remain the same.
How is that possible? One of the two should show zero while the other shows that magneto's firing frequency.
It looks like both cells are populated with the greater of the two signals.
This looks like a bug to me.
This just in: Dynon Tech Support confirms that this is a bug and they are looking into it.
