I need a RS-232 input for a device. In reading the manual I see that there are 5 RS-232 pairs provided, but they are not labeled as such in the wiring diagram. Which pin/pins can be used for the RS-232 source for my device? I have a pretty good idea, but it would be nice to have confirmation.

Thanks in advance.

We need more information than that. RS-232 is an electrical standard, but does not define the data rate, or the protocol used to communicate with a device. That's things like "9600 baud" and "NMEA".

There are 5 serial ports on SkyView, and they can be configured in software for speed and data. It doesn't matter which one you hook up electrically as long as the software can create the data you need.

What are you trying to hook to?

I already have the TruTrak document. It is very clear where to connect to on their end but not so much on the Skyview side. That is why I ask the question. I am guessing the TX side any of the 5 serial pairs that is not in use should work, but just wanted to make sure.

Correct, the TX of any serial port that is not already used connects to the RX on the Vizion and then that port is configured as described in Trutrak's document.
