Running out of memory when uploading

Dual SV screens, I uploaded version 11.0 method 1 with new terrain databases and all good. Since I live in Canada (close to US border), I alternate between PocketFMS mapping when flying in. Canada and then would load the Dynon FAA software if traveling in the states. Now, when I try to upload Pocket FMS now, I can only load either the Av or Ob database and then I think it runs out of memory and won't load the second database. I even erase the FAA databases first and new ones still don't fit. Is it a memory issue??? If so, how to work around?

Thanks. I,did see, that post, however, in my situation, it wouldn't even start loading, it gave me an error message. I didn't record that message though.

We'll be releasing a slightly shaved high resolution terrain databases in the next day or two for the regions where this is possible. Essentially, if you're using PocketFMS and North American terrain, plus all the other supplemental databases, you'll be out of room before you're done. Our fault.

Thanks for the update Dynon. Was wondering how long for the fix so I can plan? And is there something I could do in the meantime? Could I delete one of the low res databases? Could I load databases in a different order?

We should have the updated terrain up next week. Without sitting in front of a unit, I'm not sure which of the low, very low, or basemap may free up just enough space to let you load the high res database, but you could experiment with that in the meantime.

What is a slightly shaved high resolution mean? If it's installed and working, will we need to download that version, when released?

I deleted the very low terrain database and was able to load all the other databases. I think the very low is only used when you zoom way out to see the whole continent.

We've updated the terrain database downloads page for those of you that were having issues loading the new high resolution terrain along with some of the other databases. This particularly affected PocketFMS customers, as those are a bit bigger than other aviation/obstacle databases since they're a single worldwide region. In particular, the Canada-Alaska, North America, Northern Asia, and North Pacific regions have been trimmed slightly. All other regions remain unchanged.
