I have installed a roll servo in RV-9 wing. I have "heard" that the 9 does not hold a trimmed pitch very well.  (I guess that means other RVs do hold pitch well) Sooo I have been strongly advised to add a pitch servo as well. Does anyone have any advice, experience, or input ??

Well, really no aircraft holds altitude well "hands off" for any extended period. If you want to be able to "set it and forget it", as the great Ron Popiel would say :D , you'll want a pitch servo in any airplane.

It would probably feel half finished without the ALT.
You would likely want to add it later ... and it would be easier to do it up front.

Hi Prong,
I'm building a 7-A, but I have a 9-A that I built kit # 16 I think.. I've flown it 9 years and 850 hrs. The 9 is more sensitive in pitch than roll. I have a Nav-aid wing leveler in it that tracks the GPS. The kind of flying that I do (30 mins. or an hour in the afternoon) I never use it. If it was a traveling machine and I had it to do over, I would install the pitch servo also.
