Screen Flicker - original question?

Both 7" screens will go dark for a small fraction of a second with no warning or pilot input to any aircraft system or control.

* occurs intermittently
* happens on battery power and when engine is running
* running v2.6 and all databases are current

In flight yesterday I noticed for the first time that a RED "X" appeared momentarily on the co-pilots screen.

I don't consider either issue a problem in and of themselves. Only concern is if they indicate something more serious is involved.

Appreciate any ideas.

Load 3.0 on Monday when it is released, and let us know whether or not that fixes it.

Both 7" screens continue to flicker - momentarily blank.

I have not noticed the Red "X" since update.

I just completed the installation of the 7" Skyview within the last two weeks and I have noticed the screen flickering in a random fashion. It does it on ground power or just the aircraft battery or in the air on the generator. I thought it initially was a change in voltage but that does not seem be to be a factor. Any thoughts? Also I concur with the folks on the readability of the 7" screen. My Highlander does not have the panel room for the 10" screen.

We thought we'd fixed flicker issues in 3.0, but we'll be tweaking some settings again. Incidentally, if you turn the brightness up to maximum or closer to it, you'll probably notice the flicker go away.

MAX brightness doesn't help.
