on several occasions over the last few months, the left screen went black (with some marks) when the left PTT was pressed. It resumed normal operation when PTT released.
A couple of questions: When you released it, did it restart/reboot? Or just immediately pick up where it left off? What kind of radio do you have, and where is it in relation to the display? Does that display have a backup battery attached to it?
Does it happen every time you PTT ?
What aircraft type , composite or aluminium etc ?
Where is the Com antenna in relation to the screen ?
What type of antenna cable, Eg RG58, RG400 ?
Hello I'm Boaz's pilot-partner.
It happens only few times in the last months, usually in long range flight (few hours)
Aircraft is Composite TEXAN by Fly Synthesis
The Com antenna is under the body in relation to the screen
We don't know the type of antenna cable....
When I release it, it just immediately pick up where it left off.
We use iCOM IC-A210E, located in the middle between the 2 Dynon displays.
Yes, the display has a backup battery attached to it.
