Screen lock up in flight

I had one of my D700 Skyview screens lock up 5 times in the space of a half hour flight yesterday. Each time the screen just freezes with the last valid data displayed, no warnings. So you have to realize what is happening and then reboot it using the 2/3/5 key press. When frozen all the knobs and buttons are inactive. When you trigger the reboot the second screen reconfigures and correctly displays PFD, EMS & MAP info. This would be very dangerous at night or IMC. After the reboot finishes is comes back as the PFD but frozen for about 15 seconds before becoming active again. Any idea or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Will do, diagnostic file on the way. Also I tried to shut off the troubled #1 screen via the VPX on the good #2 screen but was unable. Today I went for a flight and it worked just fine for an hour. It would be nice to know what triggered the event to regain a little confidence, as for the last 50 hours the whole system has worked flawlessly.
