Both my screens rebooted after loading the latest Databases. They never did this in the past.

Also synchronization between screens took 2-3 minutes, maybe more, when in the past it was less than 1 minute.
Is this expected with 13.0?

SkyView should not reboot during flight.
[list bull-blackball][*]Has your SkyView ever rebooted in flight previously? [*]Or did it ONLY reboot in flight after loading the latest databases? [*]What is the filename of the update you installed on your SkyView system?[*]Have you seen System Event 5 messages?

1-Has your SkyView ever rebooted in flight previously? Yes
2- Or did it ONLY reboot in flight after loading the latest databases? No (see comment below)
3- What is the filename of the update you installed on your SkyView system? FAA_av1511_ob1506_13.0.duc
4-Have you seen System Event 5 messages?
NO

(2) Keep in mind the timing in my case. In the past I have started up the engine and while it warmed up I would load the latest Database. Usually no issue but this time it loaded the Database and rebooted than loaded the other database and, again rebooted. (at this point I am already started my taxi as it usually says "loading database" without an issue) I looked to the other screen and used that EMS info.
Once the primary rebooted it seemed to be fine after that BUT the second screen that was synchronized basically went through the same routine. Synchronizing database than a reboot and again synchronizing database and a second reboot. It also took much longer to synchronize the databases, 2-3 minutes maybe longer. I was about to takeoff when the second screen rebooted. I opted to wait and see what happened before taking off.
Once in the air the screen was solid and did not reboot.

Please continue to monitor it and advise us, preferably directly to Technical Support, if it continues to occur.

I loaded the latest FAA data. FAA _av1515_ob1505_13.0(1).duc. I normally install data base using Skyview internal bat. During down load got some message I interpreted to mean I needed to power up all modules, so I turned on avionics master. Finished download. Next day went to go fly and it said data base out of date. Went flying and that's when it re booted twice It has never shut down in flight before

System Event 5 will appear whenever SkyView detects a high number of read/write exceptions from its Solid State Disk (SSD).

wilco.
When would I see a System Event 5 message? during boot-up?

That's not a valid filename. I'll guess that you mean FAA_av1510_ob1505_13.0.duc which is valid 2015-09-17 through 2015-10-14, so as of 2015-10-15, SkyView is correctly flagging this database as expired. The (1) suffix on the filename you loaded indicates that you downloaded this file twice, and Windows cannot have two files with the exact same name in a directory (folder) so it adds a (1) suffix to the second file to make the filename unique.

I suggest that you download the current aviation / obstacle database from our website - http://dynonavionics.com/downloads/Software/FAA_av1511_ob1506_13.0.duc (and only download it once) and install that on your SkyView system. Please let us know if, after loading this (current) aviation / obstacle database, your SkyView continues to reboot spontaneously.

Remember that for us to assist you, we need to know the details of the event such as the exact wording of the message that was displayed. We understand that's difficult in flight, but SkyView can record "screenshots" quickly by having a USB flash drive plugged in (even the one that has charts on it) and pushing buttons 2+7 at the same time. That records an image of what's on the screen to a folder on the USB flash drive called "screenshots" which you can then check the error messages section of the SkyView Pilot's User Guide, or email to support at dynonavionics dot com.

I just loaded the latest Databases and, as in the past (before last month's) it loaded, and synchronized the other display in a timely manner. No reboots and no delay in the Synch.
Hopefully last month was just a fluke.

Mine rebooted after loading the databases, said something about saving a system file, and then worked just fine.

But it DID reboot after loading, something it's never done before.
