I finally got to see what the VNAV looks like on the HSI. This is a screen shot of the 396 giving vnav to the skyview. I set it to navigate to 1000ft above target. This is not IFR vnav like you would get from a Garmin 430. I know that, but I assume it would look the same. I'm just off the south shore of Long Island 10 miles from FOK I was diving to try and get on the vertical centerline. Yes the fuel flow isn't working yet, I'm working on that next.

Great what am I doing wrong?

You included a link to the screenshot. For it to display properly, as Craig did, you have to "insert image" of the graphic file (from your local hard disk) to your post.

I don't think you can post an image off your hard drive with the image delimiters. It requites an internet url.

But you can check to see if it's working correctly by doing a preview.
