I suppose everyone has discovered the screen shot function on their Skyview, it is really nice.
However it comes to you in a BMP format that is hard to do much with, and seems impossible to convert to a JPG format so that you can put it in KitLog etc. Has anyone found an easy solution to converting screen shots to jpg?

Apple's default image viewer, Preview, will not open them either. BMP is a common format; not sure why the Skyview-generatred BMP images are so difficult to work with.

I finally solved my own problem! If you pull up the Dynon stick in My Computer, then right click on the screenshot you want to convert, and click on Edit. One of the choices in edit is to save it as a JPB. Even more simple than it sounds.

Not all of us have found the screen shot menu. Where is it located? Didn't jump out for me in the installation guide or user guide.

Put the Dynon stick in and when you see a screen  you want to shoot, hold down 2 and 7 at the same time.  Presto, you got a shot!
Here is an example:

Button combinations that I know about:

Button 1: hold to turn Skyview on and off with backup battery
Buttons 1,2 and 5: reset Skyview (warm boot)
Buttons 7 and 8: access setup menus.
Buttons 2 and 7: Screen shot. USB needs to be inserted.

Thanks all for the info on screen shots.  I tried it and in order to open the BMP on a MAC I had to convert it to an HTML format using Safari  and then had to save it as a PNG Color file.  The JPG saves were too small and when enlarged were unreadable Here is what it looks like: :)
