Setting the Altitude Bug

I just purchased a flying RV-12 with a SkyView so I only have a few hours of experience with it. When I try to set the altitude bug for the autopilot altitude-hold value, I can only get thousands of feet, i.e. 2000, 3000, 4000... as I turn the knob. How do I dial in 3,500?

Are you sure you get 1000's? You should get 100 feet per knob click.
