If you have a Skysport (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/pdf/2013Individual/Cat13494.pdf) Capacitive Sender do you need a capacitive to resistive converter to display the fuel level via the EMS?
I used the skysports capacitive senders on my fuel quantity without the converter. They work great!
The newer Skysports probes come with a capacitive to voltage converter built in to it. On the newer probes the yellow wire is the 0v to 5v output. The older probes used a resistance output on the yellow wire for older style gauge.
Yes, use the yellow wire for the resistive input. Actually, I'm using the older style also and during the calibration process you won't get a very big voltage movement. I only got a small voltage movement every time I put my 2 gallons of fuel in. Don't worry about that, mine still turned out to be very accurate.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, been out of town for work.
