Dynon has posted the following:

"This new SkyView module will be available Fall, 2012, along with firmware updates to the SkyView system and the SV-XPNDR-261/262 transponder modules."

Was also told at Oshkosh Dynon forum that ADSB would be released in "early" fall. Can they have this to the market in 12 weeks? My intent in this poll is not to be facetious but to determine Dynon's deadline believability factor amongst customers/potential customers. Hopefully this will help Dynon with any customer perception issues, good or bad.

Not sure about everyone else, but I'm a bit offended by this....
If you don't like the product, service, or timing, you can choose to spend your money elsewhere..... Did Dynon wrong you....

If this was meant to be a positive result, I think there are more professional means to get there....

i think they have demonstrated the product, screenshots, and obviously have the capability- additional flight testing, validation, and most likely production of the product is all normal- if anything I believe we should all be excited and grateful that dynon has given us a full demonstration/glimpse of it before it is truly ready to hit the shelves.

I also think it's great practice that they do not accept or deal with pre-orders, even though some dealers are obviously willing to take money and start a list, if anything i'd say be careful of those dealers

I was about to say the same thing.

If you heard "early fall", we need to beat somebody up around here :)

So the official date estimate is "fall", and yes, admittedly, sometimes we do miss dates as we wind up testing and find late-breaking issues. What we don't do, anymore, is set an expectation about future products before there's a fully developed project schedule and commitment to produce a product (AP76, cough, cough). We've learned our lesson there.

So we've gotten a lot better over the years though. "Fall" definitely means "soon", and not "spring 2012".

I've cast my poll vote :)

So far Dynon has not disappointed. I cannot say the same for my previous EFIS supplier. Won't name names but Dynon offered a good deal to facilitate the transition. I'm quite happy with Skyview and look forward to each new release. :)

Smart.
I've been on the hardware side of life and hardware has production lead times.  Can you tell us how the testing is going as I would assume this is the gate?

With ADS-B I think longer is better. It seems that the products get better and less expensive as the years progress.
I dont think running a poll is the answer, Dynon support has been outstanding, they take the time every time to tell me the way it is, as best they can and I am always fine knowing that the upgrades/firmware I install will be stable in my aircraft-when it's not product listens and makes repairs. I hated the 90's and a PC company that (and still does) releases products that needs constant patches to fix issues.
I say when Dynon is ready to release a firmware or hardware product they will and I am more than happy (albeit inpatient) to wait until they do.
My hope is that Dynon will provide a better solution than they announced! maybe something to allow those who dont have a Dynon Transponder or SL-30 that does IN and OUT- now that would be worth waiting for!

Testing is going well! To be clear, though, hardware, software, production and testing all converge within a relatively short amount of time around here. Testing is always the final gate, but the fact that we're "testing" doesn't mean that all other aspects of the project are buttoned up. It's not done until it's done, basically, and our expectation still remains "fall". In any case, though, we don't publish detailed statuses of our product development schedules beyond our estimated launch when we're within a few months or so of release.

Best to let Dynon test it as much as they feel necessary. It's a lot better than receiving junk and dealing with the problems after release. So far they do not disappoint. Can you spell "Blue Mountain" or remember BD-5.

I've not seen a bit of "junk" from Dynon. I can not imagine they would start shipping it now.
