Skyview and ELT

This might have already been answered, but I couldn't find it.

I don't yet have an ELT (still building and installing avionics and such), but I'd really rather not put the stock nasty-looking ELT remote switch on the panel or anywhere near it. Is it possible to connect something like the el cheapo Ameri-King ELT to a Skyview so that when activated or whatever, the notification comes up on the SV, and the Off/On/Test switch can be hidden underneath the panel?

I'm thinking maybe on one of the General Contact Input pins or something?

If it has an output that goes open/ground/high/low/etc, depending on whether it is activated activated, it could be hooked to an EMS general purpose input, which would then show up as a widget on the EMS pages. See the canopy/gear warnings in http://www.dynonavionics.com/downloads/Literature/Dynon-SkyView-SizingCard-March2011.pdf for an example of how this could look.
