My setup is dual 10" Skyviews with the full Dynon suite of accessories. I have the servos, ADAHRS, and transponder connected to the #2 (right) screen, with that screen plugged into the Dynon 5-port bus where I've got the left #1 screen, ARINC, EMS tied into, all running 5.1 software. The transponder serial pair is tied into both screens on serial pair 2. I do not have the ethernet cross-connect between the screens yet because I was waiting to order that with the Dynon Comm radio.
My problem is that when I have the full system powered up, everything sees everything as it should, no issue. I've got battery backup on the left #1 screen, and when I power down the right #2 screen (screen only - not the power bus), I temporarily (a couple seconds) lose the transponder, which is passing through the right screen to the Dynon bus where it connects to the left screen. I don't lose the ADAHRS, I don't lose the servos. Same scenario on re-powering the right screen - I lose the transponder while it's booting (about 10 seconds) but don't lose the ADAHRS or servos.
Any idea as to what is going on here? Each time I lose it (power off or power on) it recovers the transponder on it's own, and appears fully functional. I haven't determined if it keeps the squawk code yet. The reason I'm concerned is that you've advertised invisible pass-thru on the Dynon bus, and I'm clearly not seeing that right now. If I lose the right screen (either through screen failure or electrical failure) I'm concerned I'm also going to lose the transponder. Why is the transponder dropping out but the ADAHRS and the servos are not?
Sidenote - I don't know if this has any bearing on it or not, both screens are cleared of your display circuit board recall, and about 1/2 the time I have powered down the right screen by the #1 button it will reboot itself without any input about 10 seconds after powerdown. On each occasion when the right screen has rebooted, the second manual #1-button power down is permanent and it does not reboot. Both screens boot automatically and simultaneously on avionics bus power-up without fail.
