Hi All, not sure if this is the best place for the question, but someone here should know the answer.
When the Seattle Avionics Chart Updater is being used for Skyview Approach charts, you have the option of loading "Only new or changed items" or "All Procedures/Diagrams". It recommends to use only new or changed items to reduce download times.. Makes sense.
Question: I have multiple USB Sticks and want to swap (alternate) them every time a cycle is up for renew. If I choose only new or changed items, does this mean my newest stick might ignore a changed plate from the last cycle?
In other words, does the updater look at a flag on the current revision of the chart to determine if it is "changed". or does it compare the new file to the file actually on the memory stick.
If I need to update "All Procedures/Diagrams" to avoid the risk that is OK, but I would hate to update a new USB stick and have the system not recognize a change from the previous cycle.
Hope this question makes sense.
Thx
