Hello,

I am french and I am building a Quick build RV7. I would like to install a Skyview D1000 and search any advises to help me :
-The best place to install ADHARS, OAT probe.
-How to modify the panel board fixing to accept the screen in front of the pilot.
-what harness length to choose for an RV7
I am a little confused and any photos are welcome.
Perhaps Dynon could create a little file for the van's home builder ?
In advance thank you
Sylvain

I have a RV7A and installed the ADHARS behind the Baggage compartment on the pilot side, near the center of the airplane.
I installed the OAT in the hole of the left wing where the Pitot tube would have been installed using Van's Pitot tube. I installed a Dynon Electric Pitot. so the extra hole was available.
I have a Dual SV and installed one in front of the Pilot and then copilot.
I do not understand your meaning of "modify the panel board fixing to accept the screen." If you mean how did I make the cut to fit the screen? I had it cut out by means of a automated cutter using a computer. I have heard of guys using a saber saw with metal blade.
As far as the length of the harness, measure from the point of the ADHARS and order to the best measurement available.
I hope this helps some, I do not have photos, sorry
I know you will not have trouble, Dynon is great at costumer service. I installed the complete system and it works great :)

Thank you Dave for you reply.
I spoke about the forward fuselage rib (F-745) behind the control panel which seems to  block the screen. Sorry my english is not good !

That should not be a problem as the SV is slim enough to fit ok. There should be 6-8 inches or more between the panel and the F-745. The SV is 2-3 inches I think it has been a while since I looked. There is room for the SV-back-up battery, Transponder, plus other instruments.

Yes, you will need to cut off the forward fuselage ribs and move them inward to accept the 10" screen. I have a single 10" screen, but left room for a second SV screen. Lots of pictures on my web site. www.overthehills.com
