This may have been addressed before but I can't find it now:

I would really like to have another option for the Skyview display in my RV12 with the Skyview 10 inch touch screen.  Specifically I'd like to be able to display the engine instruments at the bottom of the screen in a narrow strip so that the PFD and Chart could occupy 1/2 the width of the screen above.  I think all I really need in the engine instrument display is a digital tach, oil temp and pressure, fuel pressure  and amps....the other stuff could be handled in flight with the voice warnings set up.

To be truthful :)....getting this set up would save me the $4500 a second Skyview will cost me and I can't steal that outa my wife's purse while she's sleeping....:)

We've discussed a bottom EMS strip a few times and we believe it's not a good idea given how our screen is widescreen, which means things along the long edge take up a lot of space.

The request which has the most traction right now is a 5% strip along the side.

Not sure I'd tell us that doing that will cause us to sell LESS SkyViews, not more though ;)

Correct English is fewer SkyViews, not less. Nevertheless (or neverthefewer?) I like any idea that increases the legibility or functionality of existing functions, as opposed to new features. I hope we don't ever see auto-land from Dynon!

There are a bunch of suggestions that came up on the display of engine info, for example. The 5% strips are a good example. I would like color to be more flexible and font size to be programmable for the engine info and map functions on the 7 inch display.

Refinement is good.

I REALLY like the 5% screen on the side and I like Bill H's plan for putting the 20% screen up for TO and Landing but going to 5% in cruise.

If I had the 5% solution I might just rob my wife's purse while she's sleeping and buy a second screen anyhow.

What do we have to do to get this ball...the 5% screen...rolling?

The Garmin competitor for Skyview has the EMS display along the bottom and it may, I don't know, have a smaller percentage side EMS page too.   I would think that Skyview would see an option of either that display or the 5% one as a competitive response to Garmin.  I note that Bill H.'s note on this is over a year old and I wonder what Skyview has done to come up with an option for the display.....maybe leaving it along sells more second Skyview displays but I would doubt that as a decent competitive strategy.

For sure, to each their own.. But I use and like the 20% option. No need for anything different as far as I'm concerned. I'd much rather have other features like altimeter-setting cross-check, flight path marker, live list of most likely frequencies, including center/apch, look-ahead terrain profile view.....

Isn't altimeter setting check w/ nearby baro settings via ADS-B already there? It is on mine :)

Flightpath marker has been on the PFD since day one.
