Skyview flap indicator

Please can anyone tell me the type of output required from a potentiometer to my Skyview. I have a potentiometer with a range of .5k to 5k ohms. Can I ground one side of it and use the other side for the input. I can either use an increasing output or decreasing output, does it matter which one.

That'll work. But you'll want to connect it to both power and ground, with the output connected to the EMS. There's some additional detail in our installation manual. See page 7-66 of the installation manual for the details.
